A small amount of your blood is drawn, the same way as any blood test. It is concentrated to isolate the platelets, and that concentrate is returned to the treatment area to support your skin's own repair.
Because it comes from you, there is nothing foreign to react to. That is why clients who would rather avoid introduced product often start here. It is also why the result is gradual rather than immediate. You are not having something placed. You are asking your skin to improve its own quality, and that takes weeks.
Rather than turning this page into a list of promises, our approach is deliberately consultation-led. The right question is not can I book PRP. It is is PRP actually the right treatment for what I am seeing.
You do not have to diagnose your own face.
Almost everybody arriving with an under-eye concern has read about both. Here is the honest version, so you can ask a better question at your consultation.
Nearly the same price, and not the same treatment. Some people need one, some need the other, and some need neither. A shadow caused by a hollow will not be fixed by improving skin quality, and thin skin will not be fixed by adding filler underneath it. That is what the assessment is for.
You could make PRP sound very simple. Choose an area. Choose a number of sessions. Pay. Done. But aesthetics rarely works that neatly, and the treatment that is appropriate for one person may not be appropriate for another.
A sales pitch says you came for PRP, let us do PRP. Good advice says tell me what you want to change, and let us work out what actually makes sense.
We will not give you everything you want. We will advise you on what we believe is the correct treatment. That may be PRP. It may be another treatment. Or it may be nothing at all.
And a good result on somebody else cannot tell you whether that treatment is right for your face. Your starting point is different. Your concern may be different. Use the result as a reason to ask questions, not as a reason to skip the consultation.

You should feel comfortable asking questions, especially when it is your face. If you are not comfortable proceeding, you do not have to.
It uses your own blood, so there is nothing foreign to react to. As with any injectable, the safety comes from who is performing it and how, which is why this is consultation first.
It is the same as a routine blood test. Most people find the draw the easiest part of the appointment.
Under the eye, possibly. It is a delicate area and bruising there is visible. We will tell you honestly before you book, so you are not planning this a few days before an event.
Usually a course rather than one session. We will tell you at your review whether it is working, rather than keep selling you sessions.
